Registration is now open for a TERENA community workshop for those interested in planning, implementing, running and using CRM (customer relationship management) systems to support their daily work.
The CRM workshop will be hosted by SURFnet in Utrecht, NL, on 6-7 February 2013, back-to-back with meetings of the GÉANT PR Network on 4-5 February, TF-CPR (task force on communications and public relations) on 5-6 February, and TF-MSP (task force on management of service portfolios) on 7-8 February. Videoconference participation is possible. Registration for all events is open and linked via http://www.terena.org/activities/tf-cpr/futuremeetings/.
Ultimately, the workshop will lead to a set of best practices common to the research and education networking community. The Utrecht event will include presentations from a range of NRENs (national research and education networking organisations), plus discussions to brainstorm and share experience.
Topics will include:
- How far have organisations come in their CRM development?
- What are the costs regarding budget and manpower?
- How well does it work – issues and problems?
- How do you achieve high-quality content, with a positive staff mindset and appropriate technical support?
- Recommendations.
