8th TF-NOC meeting & GEANT APM meeting
The Task Force on Network Operation Centres (TF-NOC) brings together NOC managers, engineers, developers, operators, controllers and project managers interested in NOC functions in order to share experiences and knowledge as well as to investigate the possibility of creating best common practices.
The next coming TF-NOC meeting will be held on 27-28 May, 2013, in Athens, Greece, kindly hosted by GRNET. Take a look at the DRAFT agenda and do your registration.
APM meeting
An APM meeting will be held back to back with the TF-NOC meeting on 28-29 May, 2013. The APM meeting will take place in the same offices and will be hosted by GRNet. DRAFT agenda and registration for APM group members are available.

Accommodation
Participants are recommended to arrange their accommodation at President Hotel as it is located within walking distance (5 minutes) from GRNET offices and from Metro and bus stations with direct connections to the airport. Additional hotels (15-25 minutes) can be found at GRNET website.
President Hotel is located at 43 Leoforos Kifisias, Athens 11523, Greece.
Reaching GRNET from Athens International AirportBy metro (option1)
Closest station: "Ampelokipi", 10min walk to GRNET offices, 5min walk to President hotel.
Tickets: One-way from/to the airport: 8 euro. Integrated ticket for the Athens area: 1.40 euro, for any number or routes with metro, bus or tram within 1.5h after validation. Tickets can be purchased on any metro station.

From the airport: Bus stop "Karanika" (in Greek: "ΚΑΡΑΝΙΚΑ"), the stop is right outside GRNET offices, on the opposite site of the road).
To the airport: Bus stop "Zagora" (in Greek:"ΖΑΓΟΡΑ").
Route and Timetable
(directions) At the Arrivals Level, take the X95 bus “Syntagma – Athens Airport (Express)” Bus stop "Karanika" (in Greek: "ΚΑΡΑΝΙΚΑ"), the stop is right outside GRNET offices, on the opposite site of the road . To reach Athens International Airport from GRNET and the President Hotel, Bus stop "Zagora" (in Greek:"ΖΑΓΟΡΑ").
Bus tickets:
Airport Express (From/To Airport), 5 euro (purchased from a kiosk right next to the buses in the airport, or from the bus driver).
City buses and trams (purchased from kiosks or metro stations): One-way ticket: 1.20 euro, valid for a single route. Integrated, 1.5h tickets: 1.40 euro, for any number or routes with metro, bus or tram within 1.5h after validation.
Tickets must be validated upon entrance on the bus/metro.

By taxi (option 3)
Taxis are available at the designated Taxi waiting area located at Exit 3 of Arrivals Level in AIA. Please note that there is a flat fee tariff up and down the airport to Athens downtown at Euro 35 during daytime and Euro 50 during the night (24:00-05:00)

Social dinner
A dinner table will be reserved at a restaurant (tbd) for Monday evening for all the participants. Everyone should pay his/her own bill.
