5th TF-NOC meeting

The Task Force on Network Operation Centres (TF-NOC) brings together NOC managers, engineers, developers, operators, controllers and project managers interested in NOC functions in order to share experiences and knowledge as well as to investigate the possibility of creating best common practices.

The 5th TF-NOC meeting will be held on 15-16 February, 2012, in Dubrovnik, Croatia, kindly hosted by CARNet. TF-NOC this time follows the GN3/DANTE APM meeting (to be held on 14-15 Feb). There is also an opportunity to discuss synergies with the Media task force people (TF-Media) on Thursday afternoon.

About the venue...

From the airport to the city centre and University

Dubrovnik Airport Cilipi is located 22 km from the City (about 30 minutes by car).
You can take a taxi from the airport to your hotel (you can reserve one by calling + 385 (0)98 725 769). The price is approximately HRK 250 (EUR 33) + 23% VAT.
There is a continuous bus service from the airport to the City (Pile station), Main bus station (Gruz harbour). The price is HRK 35 (EUR 5). Tickets may be purchased on the bus.
From the Pile bus station, you can take public bus #6 to the University. From the Main bus station, you can take public bus #7 to the University. Tickets for local bus cost HRK 10/EUR 1.40, and can be purchased on the bus or any news stand.
A taxi from the hotel to the city centre/Old Town costs HRK 70 (EUR 10) + 23% VAT.
