Day 1 | Day 2
Day 1 - Tuesday, November 23rd, 2010
| DAY 1 | Topics and speakers |
|---|---|
| Morning Session | Identity Management Lifecycle/Evolution |
| 09:00-09:15 | Welcome and EuroCAMP introduction Brook Schofield (TERENA) (slides) |
| 09:15-11:15 |
This session focused on the development of campus identity, access
and group management lifecycle requirements for projects, products and
frameworks. This progression to 'domesticate' an application for
federation infrastructure integration will transition from
authentication services, to external/federated authentication and
finally external group management. Niels van Dijk (SURFnet) (slides) |
| 11:15-11:45 | Coffee Break |
| 11:45-13:00 |
Take 5 minutes to introduce yourself and talk about the challenges you
face with Campus Architecture and Middleware Planning surrounding
identity, access and group management. This helped focus the
activities of EuroCAMP and align similar interests in this problem space.

| 13:00 - 14:00 | Lunch |
| Afternoon Session | Enabling Collaboration Platforms |
| 14:00-14:45 |
For some light relief we looked at OneSocialWeb as an example of a federated application and how it can be used for collaboration within the campus environment and beyond. Diana Cheng, Vodafone R&D (slides) |
| 14:45-15:30 |
Focusing on the first step of the 'domestication' progression we
covered authentication for applications, showing examples of externalising
authentication and identifying the technologies of interest to this group. Brook Schofield (TERENA) (slides) |
| 15:30-16:00 | Coffee Break |
| 16:00-17:30 |
Following on from the earlier session on authentication we moved to authorization and privilege Management. Authentication should never imply authorization. How should an application use an API to access privilege information and where should this be stored. Lukas Hämmerle (SWITCH) (slides) |
| 17:30 | Adjourn |
| 18:00-21:30 | Dinner |
