EuroCAMP Stockholm
Federated access management
Aim of the event
Collaboration has been a key aspect of the success of research and education networks, and indeed, it is key to the development of education and research itself. The need for collaboration has driven the development of a number of tools, for example: the possibility to remotely give and take courses at different departments or universities, analysing and or processing data from experiments taking place at distant locations and sharing resources managed by different administrative domains. These services are increasingly becoming a common reality nowadays.
These activities are supported by collaborative applications which cover a vast range of typologies which include email, wikis and videoconferencing, e-learning management systems and access portals and also more sophisticated grid systems. The challenge for campus administrators is to provide access (or more generally federated access) to specific applications for different user groups.
This EuroCAMP workshop will focus on integration of identity access management services with applications.
