(in terms of members, governing body, decision making process, etc.)
Management board of MARNet consists of 7 members: 5 proposed by the Rectors Conference (Body consisting of five Rectors of five public universities), 1 proposed by the Ministry of Research and Education, 1 proposed by Ministry of Information Society and Administration. All the proposed members are then appointed by the Goverment of R Macedonia.

As a legal separate body MARnet actually exist from beginning of 2011 year with election of the management board and director. All the period 2011-2013 year is devoted to transfer of the obligations, hiring employees, establishment of the national backbone.deploying national Internet exchange (MATRIX)
