  19. Major part of RENAM Council (Governing body) members are appointed by research and education institutions and some members are representatives of ministries and state agencies
  20. The Coordination Council of RENAM Association is the governing organ of the Association according to its Statute. The Council consists of profile ministries' representatives, Rectors of universities, research institutions' managers, well-known scientists of Moldova, information systems and networking specialists, which represent the Academy of Sciences of Moldova, Universities of Moldova, and other scientific and educational institutions. The Council produces strategic decisions on RENAM network and information systems development directions, considers and adopts policy documents and technical suggestions. The Council is headed by its elected Chairman. Head of the Council is governing consultative organ - bureau of the Council.
    Between Council meetings the Association is governed by Co-presidents of the Association. In 1999 the first two co-presidents were appointed. In 2012 one new co-president was appointed and one was reappointed again.
    The Coordination Council of the Association appointed in 2012 Administration Council, which comprise co-presidents and executive managers' staff responsible for all current activity of the Association. Administration Council is supervising activity of Association's Executive Department.
    Executive managers Department organizational structure: executive director and heads of RENAM subdivisions - thematic departments and RENAM NOC. The executive managers’ Department of RENAM has its consultative organ - Scientific - Technical Committee of experts.

  22. RENAM is involved in regional eInfrastructure development projects like serious of South-Eastern Europe Grid development projects; RENAM is co-ordinating body of MD-GRID NGI - National Grid Initiative. Since 2010 RENAM is participating in HP-SEE project with a scope to organize national HPC user' community and provide access to the regional HPC resources. Also in 2010-2012 RENAM was engaged in the SEERA-EI ERA-NET project focused on eInfrastructure development policies elaboration for South-East Europe.

  35. Past year:
    New DF links were installed in Chisinau MAN (~3,5 km of own DF cable was installed and 3 new links were rented) that allowed to wider the own optical infrastructure in the main cities up to 70 km.
    Finalized implementation of eduRoam;

    Coming year:
    Pilot deployment of videoconferencing service.
  36. The Compendium containing a lot of useful data, that can be utilized for understanding trends of NRENs future development and new policies of surveyed organizations operation. Every year issue has new features and the process of information presentation unification was continued that will simplify information comparison and allow to understand precisely the real state of every target NREN. Information on NRENs' services is permanently upgrading that allows to have comprehensive overview of full gamma of services provided by NRENs.
