Management board of MARNet consists of 7 members: 5 proposed by the Rectors Conference (Body consisting of five Rectors of five public universities), 1 proposed by the Ministry of Research and Education, 1 proposed by Ministry of Information Society and Administration. All the proposed members are then appointed by the Goverment of R Macedonia.

  22. MARnet was involved in several FP7 SEE regional projects, among them HP-SEE, SEE-GRID-SCI. Grid and HPC centers were established and involved in the regional and EGI initiatives. Collaboration with AMRES and Albanian Polytechnic University result in deployment of Video conferencing equipment.

  35. As a legal separate body MARnet actually exist from beginning of 2011 year with election of the management board and director. All the 2011/2012 year is devoted to transfer of the obligations, hiring employees, and establishment of the national backbone.

    From the 4Q 2012 we expect link to GEANT to be upgraded to 2 x 155 Mbps.
