MYREN is governed by steering committee comprises of secretary general from relevant ministry such as Ministry of Energy, Water and Green Technology, Ministry of Science, Technology & Innovation (MOSTI) and Ministry of Higher Education. Multimedia Development Corporation (MDeC), who is a company under MOSTI is the project manager.

  33. We have implemented MYREN Phase 2 upgrade in 2010 where we build our 5 regional PoPs. An additional PoP is scheduled this year. Our membership were extended to Polytechnics and Community Colleges (40 in total) from only institute of higher learning previously.

    This and next year we plan to offer more services such as VoIP and Video conferencing services as well as to extend membership coverage to further 18 sites.
