Management board of MARNet consists of 7 members: 5 proposed by the Rectors Conference (Body consisting of five Rectors of five public universities), 1 proposed by the Ministry of Research and Education, 1 proposed by Ministry of Information Society and Administration. All the proposed members are then appointed by the Goverment of R Macedonia.

  34. In the September 2010 year Macedonian Parliament addopted the low for MARNet by which NREN is established as independent public body. In January 2011 proposed Management Board by Rectors Conference of Public Universities and relevant ministries was apointed by Government of R. Macedonia. In February 2011 director was elected through the Public anouncement. In process is adoption of the MARnet Statute and other relevant ruling documents, year programme and finacial programme. Transition of the functions from "old" to "new" MARnet is in progress.
