  19. Internet2 is governed by a Board of Trustees, guided by four Advisory Councils. They consist primarily of representatives from our membership, including university presidents and CIOs, as well a leaders from industry and research. The member-focused Board provides strategic direction, leadership and oversight. The Advisory Councils provide strategic guidance, assist in setting organizational priorities, and ensure that Internet2 continues to meet the needs of the research and education community which it serves.
