(in terms of members, governing body, decision making process, etc.)
The Danish ministry of Science,Technology and Innovation has the overall political responsibility. They have nominated a committee, named Styregruppen, which is the management team of the NREN. The committee has members from a number of the largest user organisations on the net.

The daily management is performed by a secretariat named Netsekretariatet.
The operation of the network is managed by UNI-C.

We would appreciate it if you would be able to give us a short description of major changes that occurred in your organisation and/or services during the past year or that you foresee for the coming year (structural changes, changes in your mandate or remit, major technology upgrades, changes in the user base, etc.)
During the last year the DWDM-infrastructure has been deployed to the smaller institutions and departments across the country. This proces will continue the next couple of years. It has been decided that the research network in the future will focus solely on infrastructure and connectivity services. By the end of 2010 we will no longer offer content and e-learning services.
