We would appreciate it if you would be able to give us a short description of major changes that occurred in your organisation and/or services during the past year or that you foresee for the coming year (structural changes, changes in your mandate or remit, major technology upgrades, changes in the user base, etc.)
The major technology changes and upgrades during the past year are:
- CESNET has been appointed as Czech National Grid Initiative representative
- starting eduID.cz federation operation.
- CRS-1/16 deployment in Brno PoP
- pilot 40Gbit/s IP/MPLS line Prague-Brno over DWDM network
- Brno PoP splitting

The main technology changes anticipated for the coming year are:
- upgrade of computing power of national grid infrastructure by cca 500 cores and 100 TB storage capacity
- deployment of the first node of planned Distributed Storage Infrastructure

Organizational and user base changes for next year:
- modifying organizational structure according to subject of new 5-years project "Large infrastructure CESNET" I.e. establish separate "Distributed Storage" team at least.
- concentration on demands of research infrastructures in CZ
