  20. The JNT Association is a company limited by guarantee. Its board of directors is made up of non executive directors chosen by the major higher and further education funding bodies within the United Kingdom and the Chief Executive, Finance Director, Chief Technology Officer & Operations Director.

    The JNT Association is funded primarily by the Joint Information Systems Committee (JISC) to provide the operation, management and development of JANET, the UK's education and research network. Other funding comes from the connections to the network, Becta, the Department for Innovation, Universities and Skills, the Department for children, schools and families and other public bodies.
