SWITCH is a foundation with a Foundation Council comprising the Swiss universities, the university cantons and the Swiss federation. The Foundation Council is in charge of the overall strategy and budget, the Foundation Board is the governing body for the SWITCH management.

The strategy of SWITCH is currently under review. Resulting changes in mandate or structure are expected for 2011 and onwards.
