The governing body is the SUNET board, appointed by the Swedish Research Council after nomination by the Association of Swedish Higher Education. The SUNET board makes most of the important decisions and authorizes the executive officers to make day-to-day management decisions.

Some core links upgraded to 40 Gbit/sec, as well as smaller customers upgraded from FE to GE. A couple of new 10G customers connected.
