The activity plan and budget for each year is prepared by the Executive Board and approved by a Founders Board.
The daily operation is managed by the Executive Board.

During 2008 the main effort of FCCN has been directed to the extension of our optical fiber infrastructure internally as well as to Spain in the North and East borders. Both cross border fibres were completed in the Portuguese side. The East-West cable served three new institutions.
