    4. The legal entity for ACOnet is the University of Vienna (UniVie); ACOnet is represented and operated by the UniVie Computer Center (ZID). All ACOnet participants are recommended to send delegates to the ACOnet technical advisory committee (ACOnet-TBPG); all ACOnet participants are invited to join the ACONET association whose board is acting as a steering committee for the NREN.

    11. Our CFP for a wavelength transparent fiber optic backbone, which was published in 2006, resulted in a framework contract with Telekom Austria, signed July 2007 (http://www.aco.net/aconet07.html?&L=1). We are currently (May 2008) just halfway on our migration path with a targeted completion date of December 2008 (http://www.aco.net/technologie.html?&L=1).
