In this section, we propose a distinction between different types of traffic by source or destination. The figure below attempts to illustrate the distinctions in terminology.

Traffic figure

T1 - all traffic from customer sites
T2 - all traffic to customer sites

T3 - all traffic to external networks
T4 - all traffic to the NREN backbone

External traffic = all traffic to and from GÉANT, the Commercial Internet, Internet exchanges, etc. (made up of T3 and T4 above)

3.6 Activities to promote the use of IPv6:
Service levels and support for IPv6 are the same as those for IPv6. We are upgrading servers as necessary to support IPv6, and default to using IPv6 where possible.
3.7 Does the network support IPv6 multicasting?
