| Brief description of the governing structure: |
The NREN is a non profit public organization established and registered as a legal person according to Slovak law by a few persons representing Slovak universities and the Slovak academy of science. All institutions that are connected to SANET and make use of the network services must be a member of the SANET association. General assembly (all members of SANET Association) elect the Board of SANET which has 11 members, from board members is elected a SANET President. SANET has technical subcommittees, mainly the members responsible for running SANET nodes at the Universities. |

The estimate for the number of staff in FTE is a very rough one. SANET has no staff of its own, all personnel which are working in the network nodes (26 nodes) and also all Board members are joined to some academic institutions ( universities and institutes Slovak academy of science). |
