Remarks: The ARENA Foundation is going to implement the NATO Science Committee "Virtual Silk Highway" project. According to this program it is scheduled to increase the usable capacity from 1,5 Mbit/s (in 2002) up to 3 Mbit/s (in 2004).

The Foundation also conducts some preliminary work for another NATO project, the joint Armenian-Azerbaijani-Georgian CARENA (Caucasus Research Educational Networking Association) project : "Development of Networking Infrastructure of NREN's in the Caucasus".
