Showcase of recording systems: report available to download
The lecture recording stations were situated outside the lecture room during the TF-Media Lecture Recording Systems Showcase at TNC2012 in Reykjavik, Iceland.

A report showcasing seven lecture recording systems is now available to download. The report summarises systems that were used in a recording event during the 2012 TERENA Networking Conference (TNC), organised by TF-Media, the TERENA Task Force on Applied Media in Teaching and Learning.

TF-Media began focusing on lecture recording in 2009 and has since taken various steps towards supporting the research and education (networking) community in this respect. With the TF-Media Showcase of Recording Systems Summary Report, the task force is introducing this community to the capabilities and features of various portable streaming/recording systems that are in use today, as well as providing a comparison of their features.

The documented systems were provided by one commercial company, two national research and education networking organisations, three universities and one university consortium, and were set up at TNC2012, where they each had to comply with particular requirements while streaming / recording a conference session and applying video enhancement before uploading the result to a public URL.
