30 November is the Deadline for Submitted Papers for TNC 2007

Extended abstracts of about two A4’s (rather than full papers) are invited on all subjects relevant to the conference theme: Visible Services -Transparent Networks. Information about the format for extended abstracts and how to submit them can be found at: http://tnc2007.terena.nl/cfp/

Sponsorship opportunities are available and detailed information can found at: http://tnc2007.terena.nl/sponsors/

Authors of papers selected for presentation and all invited speakers will be encouraged to submit a full paper for consideration by the Programme Committee for the publication of selected papers from TNC 2007 in September 2007.

The Programme Committee, led by Thomas Schmidt of FHTW Berlin and HAW Hamburg have invited many prominent experts to speak at the conference and the presentation of submitted papers (extended abstracts) will make up approximately one third of the programme.

The TERENA Networking Conference 2007 is hosted by UNI•C, the Danish IT Centre for Education and Research and will be held at DTU, the Technical University of Denmark in Lyngby, a vibrant university town just north of Copenhagen.

Plans are well underway to ensure that all of the events at TNC 2007 live up to the reputation of past TERENA conferences. Many meetings, BoFs and workshops are being planned, with some starting on Sunday, 20 May. The Opening Reception on Monday 21 May will be hosted by Copenhagen City Hall, by invitation from the Lady Mayor of Copenhagen, Ritt Bjerregaard. The Gala Evening on Wednesday, 23 May will be held in the Langelinie Pavilion next to the famous sculpture of the Little Mermaid, in a spectacular setting overlooking the harbour and the city.

Conference registration will begin early for TNC 2007 – at the end of January. Watch for the announcement for online conference registration and hotel bookings on the TNC 2007 website.
