TERENA General Assembly agrees to continue restructuring discussions
Valentino Cavalli (TERENA - standing) and Christian Panigl (ACOnet - commenting) during the May 2014 TERENA GA meeting in Dublin.

The main topic of the TERENA General Assembly meeting of 22-23 May 2014, held in Dublin, Ireland, was the ongoing community investigation into restructuring collaborative activities through TERENA and DANTE. Following a presentation by Bob Day (Chair of Board, DANTE), it was agreed to continue to the next phase of discussions, with an extra General Assembly meeting planned for 26 June in Paris.

The participants in Dublin adopted the financial accounts and annual report of 2013. Juniper Networks resigned as associate member and OwnCloud, Inc. was admitted as a new associate member of TERENA, effective from receipt of the membership fee for the first year.

Pierre Bruyère (Belnet) was re-elected as TERENA President un-opposed. Andreas Dudler (SWITCH) was also elected un-opposed, as Member-at-Large of the TERENA Executive Committee, replacing Agathoclis Stylianou (CyNet) who had completed the maximum term of six years.
