Question to all: Do any of your institutions give alums access to the same set of core services that are standard for faculty, staff & students (access to licensed resources in particular)?

Hmmm. I don't remember anyone documenting whether they regarded "Alum"
as a subset of "Affiliate", as this implies, and I don't know what our
own practice is.

On the other hand "Affiliate" does have the feeling of a miscellaneous
category, so I hope no one is relying too much on very specific
implementations of that.

That is what we originally meant to imply with the eduPerson spec.

"E" is everyone (universal set)

"affiliate" = "E" - "member" or, depending on your favorite set
notation, "affiliate" = "E" \ "member"

their hierarchies look like then I'd be delighted to add them.

"employee" = "faculty" U "staff"
