Call for Proposals - Server Certificate Service

Introduction

The TERENA Server Certificate Service (SCS) has been running since 2006. Since its inception in 2006, the number of TERENA member organisations participating in the services has risen from eight to current nineteen.

TERENA is seeking offers to prolong the service. To ensure that the service will continue under the best conditions, TERENA is publishing a Call for Proposals.

TERENA is committed to business transparency and therefore TERENA is:

  • Sending the Call for Proposals to all established CA providers which are currently known to TERENA;
  • Publishing the Call for Proposals on the TERENA website;
  • Applying the procurement procedure as described in the Call for Proposals.

Please download the text of the Call for Proposals.

TERENA emphasises that the procedure for this Call for Proposals does not qualify as one of the award procedures laid down in the Services Directive and that such was expressly not the intention of TERENA.
