Best Practices in Wireless Networks

About the Workshop:

Wireless networks in campuses are a must nowadays. The staff and students are getting more and more nomadic. The users also carry a wide variety of devices which are radio enabled. The use of e-learning services and electronic study materials is daily. Therefore the users need a channel to the content.

Workshop Outline

The wireless crash course will cover the most important aspects of Wi-Fi wireless networks deployment starting from the network planning to the monitoring and user management. Live demonstrations are provided. Practical experiences on the operations of the wireless networks are shared. Aim of the course is to provide the attendees best practices, which they can apply in their own work. The trainers are experts from the campuses and the European NRENs.

Targeted Audience

The training is intended for the university IT staff involved with the deployment and management of wireless networks. It is a part of the GN3plus Campus Best Practices Task (NA3T2) activities in co-operation with BREN, the National Research and Education Network of Bulgaria.
