Hi All,

We are commited on the Radvision Scopia solution with some outer equipment. I believe that it has (almost) all...

* videoconference h.323/sip MCU HD (Scopia MCU with H.239 support)
* webconference (Scopia Desktop)
* webconference recording (Scopia Desktop) - Mpeg4/H264 (1+1 streams - video + presentation)
* videoconference recording (Codian) - can output in MPEG1 and proprietary format...
* interoperability webconference/traditional vc systems with H.239
* interoperability with H.323 network (Scopia iView)
* interoperability with SIP network (Scopia Desktop + SIP Server)
* interoperability with 3G network (Scopia 3G Gateway)
* webconference streaming (Scopia Desktop)
* vc streaming (Codian)
* scalability (radvision MCU cluster / iView)
* branding (multi-tenant iview, NREN as VC ASP!)
* monitoring/reliability (SNMP/iview/cluster)
* webconference management AAI authentication (Shibbolet - we are finishing this implementation)
* adhoc/scheduling/room management/session management web interface

We were tapping into the .codian files, but no luck yet. (some help needed!)
The Scopia Desktop seems to be a Mov with a couple of streams... (maybe Mac savy guys could help also...)

See you,

Rui Ribeiro

Dear Paco

+1 for your estimation. As long as these vendors (Tandberg, Adobe etc.) don't move towards open formats (recording, archival, distribution), it will be hard to integrate them into the "classic" A/V world, especially with their choice of distribution formats.
