Dear TF-Media participants,

The TF-Media preparation meeting is coming soon:

The aim of this meeting is to collect all the potential participants and
contributions as well as to finalise the terms of reference of the new
task force.

As you probably realised, reading the draft terms of reference
http://www.terena.org/activities/media/ws2/ToR/tf-media-tor-draft-1-September-2009_v7.pdf
we have no leader yet for the Work Item A: "Knowledge dissemination and
service promotion". The idea is that this work item could be led by a
non-technical person with expertise in the area of PR and/or legal issues.

I'd like to kindly ask you to contact with your PR/Legal department
staff and ask them if someone wants to be involved in this task force as
a work item leader. Leading this work item practically means that
gathering the questions, issues, interested participants and
following/coordinating the related activities (if any) with some
PR/Legal expertise. This activity is on voluntary basis!

The volunteer should not be afraid if he/she is
- not so technical: we have enough techie guys on board that is why we
need fresh minds from other area of expertise.
- not fully committed: we do not need firm commitments, it is a
voluntary activity, but it is better if it can match to his/her daily
routine job/interest.
- not feeling comfortable: the TERENA secretary and the task force chair
together with the other work item leaders are happy to help in any case.
- an ugly guy: of course, we prefer nice PR ladies but we are not
discriminative ;-)

This activity could also be considered as a practical use case liaising
with the TERENA general task force TF-PR.

Cheers,
Peter
