Hi,
we do the same. Have a few HDV and XDCAM EX cameras, some A/V mixer for
production and LanShare EX for distributed post. Have access to some
professional gear at post house connected to our network in a pilot project
called PragueMediaNet
(http://www.cesnet.cz/doc/techzpravy/2008/cinegrid-node-architecture/).

You may wonder why ... On-line video production and postproduction needs
more peaking network capacity than ordinary distribution. So we need these
guys to provide feedback for us, network engineers on new network paradigms.

Uncompressed HD has data flow over 1 Gbps and uncompressed 4K has bitratre
between 6 and 9 Gbps.
