Hi All,

We are building facilities here at the NREN to provide production and
post-production services to the community. It will be inaugurated soon
(couple of weeks). Great news later on.

We already provided services like "rent for free" of AV equipment.

Perhaps the word 'facilitate' could help here. I think UNINETT want to
facilitate the production of video lectures through specifications,
technology evaluation, best practices, rollout programmes and possibly
also operation of common services like CMS'es.
The word federated to me then referes to AAI needed both internally at
a university and in common services.

UNINETT has facilitated making best practices documents for how to
instrument a class-room og meeting-room("studio") with audio/video
equipment, that are intended to be used when building and procuring.

Yes NRN's provide technical infrastructure and coordination, the U's
produce research and education. Our task-force should unite those
competences.
