Hi,

I have just followed the instructions in the document that Sone-san referenced
and my iPod Touch is now a proud element of the eduroam infrastructure!

An eduroam default configurator for iPhones, as Stefan says, would be a great
idea.

Be goode,

Hideaki, all,

thank you very much for your feedback! Apparently, Apple hardware is even more popular than I thought :-)

My colleague has taken a look into the provisioning tool now, and indeed it seems like the supplicant is very feature-rich - a lot more than the interface for "simple users" on the device itself would suggest.

Since the output is relatively easy parsable XML, it would make it rather easy to craft and distribute custom installers for institutions from a central provioning point. The only thing needed would be information about their CA and EAP payload preferences. That might take work load from a site administrator and avoid duplication of work.
