Hello,

as the Tech Workshop is approaching, some good news: our initial RadSec draft was chosen as the starting point for the official IETF work, chartered in the RADIUS Extensions working group.

Consequently, it was resubmitted with an IETF-style filename and will in the future evolve in that naming scheme. It is now called draft-ietf-radext-radsec-00.txt

The interesting new thing here is that the TCP transport issues have been taken out, i.e. this document here only handles the TLS part. The TCP transport will be handled in its own RFC. An initial version of that one will be put online, probably by me, right after I find some time after the GN2 Tech Workshop in Berlin :-)

Greetings,

Stefan

A New Internet-Draft is available from the on-line Internet-Drafts directories.
This draft is a work item of the RADIUS EXTensions Working Group of the IETF.

Title : TLS encryption for RADIUS over TCP (RadSec)
	Author(s) : S. Winter, et al.
	Filename : draft-ietf-radext-radsec-00.txt
	Pages : 14
	Date : 2008-06-17

This document specifies security on the transport layer (TLS) for the
RADIUS protocol [2] when transmitted over TCP [9]. This enables
dynamic trust relationships between RADIUS servers.

A URL for this Internet-Draft is:
