Hello mobilities,
does anyone have some experience yet with those not-quite-standard 11n
Draft 2.0 wireless devices?
I don't have myself, but reading up on some real-life tests revealed not
exactly great results. The test in question had a Linksys WAG160N and a
Santa-Rosa (Intel 4965AGN adapter) on the other end. In 20m distance, a
speed of 37 MBit/s (link encrypted with WPA2/AES) was measured. A
Linksys Atheros-based adapter got 59 MBit/s - better, but still not a
smash-hit. [c't 11/2008, p. 60]
Those numbers didn't particularly impress me.
Greetings,
Stefan Winter
