At the TNC 2007, members of several NRENs and representatives of the Grid community discussed the topic of centralized and distributed large scale data storage services targeted at end users, institutions and the high performance computing community. Several NRENs and (inter)national grids are actively pursuing storage services on some level whereas several others see a clear need to work on storage services in the near future.

This meeting is meant to discuss the opportunities and challenges involved in offering large scale storage services, investigate possible storage services and investigate opportunities for collaboration on establishing data storage services. A number of currently ongoing data storage activities will be presented.
