cNIS Administrator Training
Introduction
cNIS stands for Common Network Information Service. It is a network information system for a single administrative domain which can be coupled with AMPS (Advance Multi-domain Provisioning System), AutoBAHN (Automated Bandwidth Allocation across Heterogeneous Networks) and iSHARe (Information Sharing across Heterogeneous Administrative Regions) In order to support multi-domain workflows. cNIS derives data directly from network devices (IP, Ethernet and SDH nodes) and exposes several different interfaces to gather this data from the database.
