Related IST Projects
- TF-NGN studies and develops technologies which are viewed as strategically important for the NRENs and the GÉANT project.
- 6NET ran a large-scale international pilot IPv6 network primarily using native IPv6 links. The project provided a platform to test and evaluate migration strategies for integrating IPv6 networks with existing IPv4 infrastructure; new IPv6 services and applications, as well as legacy services and applications on IPv6 infrastructure; address allocation, routing and DNS operation for IPv6 networks. Several 6NET activities were carried out in close liaison with TF-NGN and the GÉANT IPv6 Test Programme (GTPv6)
- The SCAMPI project developed a standard Monitoring API (MAPI) containing a set of monitoring calls/primitives for an open and extensible monitoring architecture supporting a secure and programmeable shared monitoring infrastructure. The goal of the project was to enable monitoring of networks at speeds of up to 10 Gbps.
