LCPM - Work Area: Development of LCPM decision-making models and tools

Over the last couple of years a growing number of NRENs have acknowledged the need to invest in lifecycle- and portfolio-management (LCPM). Some NRENs have even introduced a formalized LCPM-model within their user constituencies. The TF-LCPM provides a forum for exchange of experience and know-how on LCPM-issues and should ultimately result in building-blocks for an LCPM model that can be used across NRENs.

The first deliverable within this work area is a document that outlines the reasons for devoting attention to LCPM within an NREN. The second deliverable outlines LCPM-processes followed by NRENs, as the one of SURFnet, the Dutch NREN.
