GDS admin table
The TERENA community contributed to the development of the Global Dialling System during the mandate of the TF-VVC task force. The activity of this task force has ended, but for the time being GDS was a vital component of the videoconferencing systems used in the research and education. As such, many participants in TF-ECS were also the administrators of the GDS deployments in their respective NRENs.
educonf is the successor of the TERENA GDS admin table service. educonf was a development activity within the GN2 project framework (GN2 SA6) that has created coordination and support tools for European higher-education and research videoconference and Voice over IP (VoIP) services.
The GDS admin table was intended for the use of the GDS national and world-level gatekeeper administrators. The GDS admin table now is obsolete. The information previously provided there was moved to educonf - a Pan European videoconference and VoIP initative - webpage.
