TERENA NREN-Grids Workshops
Introduction
The TERENA Secretariat has been mandated by the TERENA General Assembly and Executive Committee to run two NREN-GRID workshops each year. The purpose of these workshops is to bring together members of the NREN community with members of Grid projects in order to understand the common issues for these communities and to seek agreements and recommendations.
The workshops are open to members of the NREN community and members of Grid projects interested in working towards common solutions however out of necessity to preserve the interactive nature of the workshops the number of attendees will be limited.
Objectives
The main objectives of the workshops are to:
- Exchange information on current practice
- Reach a common understanding about the likely impact of Grids on NRENs
- Investigate the organisational and political issues that need to be addressed
- Consider which initiatives and/or projects need to engaged
