Getting There
By Air
Arrival
Travelling by plane is a convenient and comfortable way to visit Dubrovnik. Many European companies have regular flights to Zagreb and from there the Croatian national carrier, Croatian Airlines, provides regular flights to Dubrovnik. The airport is called Cilipi airport and it is located about 18 km from the city center.
If you are arriving on a regular flight, there are regular buses departing from the airport to Dubrovnik. Travel time is around 20 minutes. For those preferring to take a taxi to Dubrovnik, there are taxi-cars waiting throughout the entire day (just outside the airport hall). You will probably be offered a price in advance, always ask for one, or you can demand that the price be determined by the taximeter.
There is also bus service from Dubrovnik airport to Dubrovnik city. The service is run by ATLAS (the buses are marked, so check it before getting on). The price is 35HRK (roughly €5). These buses stop in the old city (stop name "Pile") very close to the venue. From the "Pile" bus stop you can walk (less then 5 minutes - map) to the venue (CAAS) or use public transport buses to the hotels. To reach CAAS from your hotel you may use public transport bus service to "Pile" bus stop and then walk. CAAS address is: Don Frana Bulica 4.
When travelling from Dubrovnik back to the airport, you should aim to catch the regular buses from the main bus terminal no later than 90 minutes before the estimated takeoff time.
