CAMP (Campus Architecture Middleware Planning) workshops

Building on the success of the first EuroCAMP held in March 2005, TERENA is organising a second event.

The workshop will be a second presentation of the first EuroCAMP, suitably updated to reflect recent changes. The topics will include: Identity Management (IdM) and Federated Access to (Web) Applications and the Network.

Aim of the event

EuroCAMP aims to develop the knowledge and skills that are needed by staff who are involved in the set-up of identity management systems (IdMS) for authentication and authorisation. The three-day programme will provide an overview of identity and access management as well as case studies of campus implementations. Attendees will get a chance to understand the current state of the art from leaders in the higher education field and get suggestions on how to solve problems back at their campuses.

The workshop will also provide on overview of federations and how these are used to manage access to applications and the network.
Examples will be given on how to provide authentication for accessing wireless networks.

Prominent members in the fields of Shibboleth, PKI, wireless network, authentication and authorisation will be giving lectures during the three-day workshop.

Who should attend

The target audience of EuroCAMP includes: CIOs, IT architects and IT managers of universities and research centres across Europe and any other persons who are involved in designing campus-wide digital ID systems, representatives of national research and education networks in Europe who are involved in harmonising digital ID systems at a national and international level and any other persons who are involved with digital ID systems in academia.
