How to Apply

The application window is now closed, applications received have been processed and we have notified the successful applicants.

If you would like to apply for the next TRANSITS course, you should read and follow the following guidlines carefully, and then send your application using the link at the bottom of the page, which should include the following information:

  1. Full Name (including special characters and their 'alt codes'), postal address (office), phone and fax number, e-mail address.
  2. A short curriculum vitae (maximum 400 words), including date of birth, education, working experience, technical knowledge. (This information will be used to ensure that the course content is appropriate for the applicant's skills and experience.)
  3. Name, address and short description (maximum 200 words) of the organisation by which the applicant is employed.
  4. Name, job title, postal address, phone and fax number and e-mail address of the person at management level within this organisation who supports the application and can provide more information about the applicant.
  5. A short description (maximum 400 words) of the CSIRT for which the applicant works or will work, including date of establishment, constituency, legal/organisational structure, staff size, services offered.
  6. If possible: names and email addresses of one or two persons from other CSIRTs in Europe who know the applicant and/or his CSIRT.
  7. If successful in your application, please indicate whether you will or will not require a hotel room for three nights.

Participants will be selected from those who apply. Selection criteria will include the education and experience of the applicants, the contribution that their CSIRT will be able to make to the overall security of the Internet, and a certain geographical spread across Europe. The workshop organisers may ask advice on the applications from the managers of the applicants and from appropriate members of the European CSIRT community. Do not make any travel arrangements until you have heard from the organisers that your application was succesful, the schedule for this is below.

Time Schedule

  • 11 May 2007: Deadline for applications, applications received after this date will not be considered. Application Deadline now passed.
  • 22 May 2007: Applicants will be notified whether a place has been reserved for them at the workshop.
  • 15 June 2007: Deadline for payment of the fee. (In case payment is not received by this date we reserve the right to assign the place to another applicant on the waiting list.)
