Subject:                 Invitation to GA16 meeting

Dear GA members,

On behalf of the TERENA President, Mr. David Williams, I herewith invite you to the 16th meeting of the TERENA General Assembly, which will take place in Zürich, Switzerland on 25 and 26 October 2001. The meeting is hosted by the Swiss National Member of TERENA, SWITCH.

The exact time of the meeting is:

Thursday 25 October 2001                             17:00 -- 19:00 hours

Friday 26 October 2001                                   09:00 -- 16:00 hours.

The venue is:

SWITCH

Neumühlequai 6, Zürich but note:              entrance is in Stampfenbachstrasse, near the “ch” on the map included below. It is in the centre of town, quite close to the railway station.

SWITCH has offered to make a few Ethernet drops available adjacent to the meeting room, so that those who need to can check their e-mail from there.

The General Assembly will be preceded by a Symposium on ‘Schools on the Net’, at the same location, on the 25th of October from 11:00-16:00 hours. Details about that Symposium will be circulated separately. Hotel information has already been circulated and is also on the web at hotels.html

SWITCH will host a dinner for GA members and their partners on Thursday evening at around 8 PM at the Restaurant Uto Kulm, on top of the Uetliberg (see http://www.uetliberg.ch/ ). Note: because if space limitations, it is necessary to register for this dinner! Please do so by dropping me an e-mail, pinxteren@terena.nl, Please let me know with how many people you would like to come to the dinner.
